Promising Ukrainian lightweight Ivan Redkach (18-0, 14 KOs) retained his track record clean of defeats, breaking the resistance of early heavy hitter fighter from Ghana Yakubu Amidu (02/06/21, 19 KOs).
Until the 5th round, inclusive in the ring was very persistent and equal struggle: small rivals moved around the ring, preferring to stand opposite each other and share a heavy blow. In the 5th three-minute 30-year-old struck twice Amidu below the belt and was fined one point. Referee offered Redkach required in such cases, five minutes to recover, but he decided to want to continue (hitting below the "waterline" were not strong).
And the 6th round of Ukrainian southpaw opponent caught a powerful left-right forward, and African first time in its 10-year-old prof. career was knocked down. Yakubu was able to get up, but after 15 seconds after the resumption of the match again on the floor of the ring - Redkach went to finish off an opponent and knocked a protracted series of chaotic, but very hefty blows. Amidu managed to take a vertical position again until the end of the reference and, despite desperate attempts by Ivan its finish. However, the break fighter from Ghana decided not to go to the 7th round, and Redkach celebrated the victory by TKO due to failure of the opponent to continue.
Perhaps Amidu was the most difficult and dangerous opponent of his career 28-year-old Ukrainian.
